Week10-

This is the first in a series of audio recordings featuring my audio work from Sounds Good. With Week 10, the audio from the first ten weeks of recordings (50 total) is played equally balanced. Here the entirety of the audio from that time period can be heard through a single track. I have mixed the audio in two separate ways, which I refer to as the eastern vs. western mixes. Week 10 will be followed by additional recordings at 10 week intervals, look for 20 weeks to be finished soon.

Aural History-
With this installation I take the individual recordings done from Sounds Good and play them on separate audio systems within an environment. The number of recordings is dependent on the amount of space available and the number of audio devices present. The concept is to present a history of audio recordings as a feature of the physical movement through the space. As audience members travel they are moving through time as they experience audio from differing periods of recording. Many subtleties that are lost in previous uses of the audio can now be presented. My goal is to have a situation where all 250 recordings from Sounds Good can be displayed.
