People I Know began as the installation we are what we create where I made hundreds of small paintings all identical in layout but differing sharply in their other qualities. In each I produce a figurative symbol that reappears in my work. The figure was designed to be a person with the least amount of information possible. By designing a figure in this fashion I leave the viewer to interpret the figure in a free manner. Each figure can then be anyone rather than someone specifically dictated by me the artist.

With each book I collect twenty of the paintings from the series. The goal of each book is a method by which the viewer can easily compare the images to one another.
